| 1861-1865 Official Civil War Centennial Medals and Momento's Deal The bronze medals in this offer were authorized by the ‘Civil War Centennial Commission’ created by Congress in 1957. They were designed by noted American Sculptor Joseph Rerrier and produced by the ‘Medallic Art Co’ of New York. The medals are huge- 2½ inches in diameter and weighing over four ounces! Off the market since 1965, we recently acquired a small hoard, still sealed in their original boxes with their Certificate of Authenticity. To make this offer even more special, we’ll add in a genuine Confederate Bond, a Civil War ‘Minié Ball’ bullet and a round ‘Grape Shot’ projectile (used in the cannons). |
