The 1914-D is the ‘2nd Key’ to the Lincoln Cent series. In some ways, it’s harder to find than the 1909-S V.D.B., especially in better grades. The reasons are simple…It wasn’t the first or last of a series. It had a relatively low mintage of 1,193,000 coins. And finally…People were more focused on the brewing war in Europe than on saving ‘Pennies’. It’s a tough coin and a favorite here at Chattanooga Coin.
