1948 - 1963 Franklin Half dollar Set (Uncirculated)
The Franklin Half was the last design of Mint Engraver John R. Sinnock. (He died in May of 1947, before his coins were released). Not until the mid 1960’s was it revealed that the reverse design of the Franklin Half, AND the 1926 Sesquicentennial Half (Also designed by Sinnock) were copied from earlier work by John Frederick Lewis….without giving him credit for the design. The series features 35 silver coins, with examples from Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco being struck in various years. Silver bullion prices greatly affect the price of these sets, so order soon as prices are subject to change…’Anytime’!
